This Privacy Policy explains how information about you is collected, used, and disclosed by The Law Office of Jennifer L. Zeidner, P.C. d/b/a MyTicketFairy.com ("My Ticket Fairy," "we," "our," or "us") in connection with your use of this website and any online platform linking to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Site").

As a law office operating in New York, we handle client and prospective client information in accordance with the New York Rules of Professional Conduct, including Rule 1.6 on confidentiality. This Site is attorney advertising.

1. Information We Collect

a. Information You Provide

When you contact us by form, phone, or text message, or submit a ticket through this Site, we collect the information you provide, which may include:

Your name, phone number, email address, and mailing address
Details about your traffic ticket or legal inquiry
Photographs or documents you upload or text to us relating to your matter, which may contain your driver license number, vehicle information, date of birth, and the details of the charge
Payment information, if applicable

Calls to our office may be answered by a professional answering service acting on our behalf. That service records the information you provide so that it can be passed to our office.

b. Information We Collect Automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect standard technical information including:

IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers
Pages viewed, time spent on the Site, referral URLs, and the search terms or links that brought you here
Information collected through cookies and similar tracking technologies, including advertising and analytics technologies operated by third parties, as described in Section 5

Some of this information is collected only if you consent to it. See Section 5 and Section 6.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Evaluate and respond to your inquiry and run a conflicts check
Provide legal services if you become a client
Contact you about your matter by phone, email, or text message
Comply with our ethical and legal obligations as attorneys
Respond to subpoenas, court orders, and other legal process
Process payments, if applicable
Send service related and, with your consent where required, promotional communications, with opt out options
Measure the performance of our advertising, where you have consented to this
Maintain the security and integrity of the Site and our systems

3. Confidentiality of Legal Inquiries

Submitting information through this Site does not establish an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship is established only after a conflicts check is completed and a written engagement agreement is signed by both you and our firm.

Information you submit in connection with a legal inquiry, including the description of your matter, uploaded documents, and communications with our office, is treated as confidential consistent with Rule 1.6 of the New York Rules of Professional Conduct and is never disclosed to advertising providers.

This confidentiality applies to the substance of your inquiry. It does not extend to the general web traffic information described in Section 1(b), or, if you have consented to marketing cookies, to the scrambled contact identifiers described in Section 4, which are used only to measure advertising and never carry any information about your matter.

4. How We Share Information

We share information as follows:

Our personnel and contractors. Attorneys, staff, and contractors who work on our systems or matters, each subject to confidentiality obligations and supervised consistent with Rule 5.3 of the New York Rules of Professional Conduct.
Service providers and vendors. Website hosting, IT support, our answering service, document and case management systems, communications providers, and payment processors, each bound by confidentiality obligations and permitted to use the information only to provide services to us.
Analytics providers. If you consent, Google LLC receives information about your visit through Google Analytics and processes it on our behalf so we can measure how the Site is used, as described in Section 5. We have turned off the Google Analytics advertising features (Google Signals and ads personalization), so Google does not use this analytics information to build cross-site advertising profiles or to serve you targeted ads.
Advertising providers. If you consent, technology operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. receives information about your visit as described in Section 5. Meta acts as an independent business and may use that information for its own purposes, including advertising unrelated to us.
Other attorneys. If your matter is outside the scope of what our firm handles, or if it originated through a referral arrangement with another law firm, we share information with that firm only with your informed written consent, as required by Rule 1.5(g) of the New York Rules of Professional Conduct.
Legal requirements. Law enforcement, courts, or government authorities when required by law, court order, or legal process.
Aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify you.

We do not exchange your personal information for money. However, when advertising cookies are active, information about your visit is transmitted to advertising companies that use it for their own advertising purposes. Some state privacy laws define that transfer as a "sale" or as "sharing" for cross context behavioral advertising, whether or not any payment is involved. You can prevent it at any time using the controls in Section 6.

We never transfer the contents of your legal inquiry or your uploaded documents to advertising companies. What you tell us about your ticket or your charge is never sent to them.

If you have consented to marketing cookies and you submit a form, we send our advertising provider a record that a submission occurred, together with a scrambled version of your name, email address, and phone number. The scrambling is one way, so the provider does not receive your actual email address or phone number from us. However, it can compare the scrambled values against its own records to determine whether you already have an account with it, and it uses this to measure which of our advertisements led to your inquiry. You should assume that a provider such as Meta is able to connect this record to you if you have an account with it.

If you decline marketing cookies, none of this is sent, including when you submit a form.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small files placed on your device. We use them in two categories.

Strictly necessary

Required for the Site to function, including page delivery, security, and submitting our contact and ticket forms. These are always active and cannot be turned off. They also store your cookie preferences so we can honor them on future visits.

Separately, we use a privacy focused website analytics tool that measures aggregate traffic, such as how many people visited a page. It does not set cookies, does not store identifiers on your device, and does not track you across other websites. Because it does not use cookies or identify you, it runs regardless of your cookie choices.

Marketing and analytics

These are advertising and analytics technologies operated by third parties. They are off unless you turn them on, and a single choice controls all of them. When active, the Meta Pixel, operated by Meta Platforms, Inc., may receive your IP address, browser and device information, the pages you viewed on this Site, and identifiers that Meta uses to recognize your browser or account. We use it to measure the performance of our advertising and to show our advertisements on Facebook and Instagram.

If you submit a form while marketing cookies are active, we also send Meta a record of that submission directly from our servers. That record includes a one way scrambled form of your first name, last name, email address, and phone number, as described in Section 4. We have disabled the separate Meta feature that would automatically collect information from the fields you type into. The description of your ticket or charge is never included.

If you decline marketing cookies, neither the Meta Pixel nor the server side record is sent.

You can review Meta's own privacy practices in its published policy. Once information reaches Meta, its handling of that information is governed by Meta's policies rather than this one.

When active, Google Analytics, operated by Google LLC, sets cookies (such as _ga and a related _ga_ identifier that persist for up to about 24 months) and may receive your IP address, browser and device information, and the pages you viewed on this Site. We use it only to understand how visitors use the Site in aggregate, such as which pages are most visited. Google processes this information as our service provider. We have configured Google Analytics for analytics only: we have turned off Google Signals and ads personalization, and IP addresses are anonymized, so this data is not used to build cross-site advertising profiles or to serve you targeted ads. The description of your ticket or charge is never sent to Google.

If you decline, neither the Meta Pixel, the server side record, nor Google Analytics is loaded, and no analytics cookies are set. You can review Google's privacy practices in its published policy; once information reaches Google, its handling is governed by Google's policies rather than this one.

6. Your Privacy Choices

Cookie preferences

When you first visit the Site you can accept marketing and analytics cookies or reject them. These cookies do not run unless you turn them on. You can change or withdraw your choices at any time using the link, which also appears in the footer of every page. Rejecting cookies does not affect your ability to use this Site or to contact our office.

Do not sell or share my personal information

To opt out of the transfer of information to advertising companies described in Section 4, turn off marketing and analytics cookies using the control above. This applies to all visitors, not only those in states whose laws provide the right.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser transmits a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an instruction to keep marketing and analytics cookies off, and we do not enable them unless you later turn them on yourself.

Access, correction, and deletion

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by emailing privacy@myticketfairy.com. We will honor such requests unless an exception under applicable law or ethical rules applies, such as records we are required to preserve under court rules, our professional obligations, or applicable statutes of limitations. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Marketing communications

You may opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any such message, or by contacting us at the address above. You may opt out of text messages as described in Section 9. We may still send communications related to your matter.

7. Data Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure, consistent with the requirements of the New York SHIELD Act (N.Y. Gen. Bus. Law sections 899-aa and 899-bb). These safeguards include access controls, secure transmission protocols, and employee and contractor data security practices.

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. If you suspect unauthorized access to your information, please contact us immediately at privacy@myticketfairy.com.

8. Data Breach Notification

If a breach involving your private information occurs, we will notify you in the most expedient time possible and without unreasonable delay, consistent with the requirements of the New York SHIELD Act, subject to the legitimate needs of law enforcement. We will also notify the New York State Attorney General, the Department of State, and the State Police as required by law.

9. Text Messages

If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive text messages, you consent to receive SMS communications from My Ticket Fairy. These may include:

Appointment and court date reminders
Case status updates
Requests for documents or information about your matter
General service related updates

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of representation or of any service we provide. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact our office at 631.944.8778.

We do not sell, share, or disclose your mobile number, your opt-in status, or the contents of your text messages to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share this information only with the communications providers that deliver messages on our behalf, or where required by law.

10. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide legal services and to fulfill our legal and ethical obligations, including file retention periods required of New York attorneys. When personal information is no longer needed, we dispose of it in a manner designed to prevent unauthorized access or use.

11. Children's Privacy

This Site is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, and if we learn we have done so we will promptly delete it.

We do represent drivers under 18 in traffic matters. Where we do, we work through a parent or legal guardian, and information about a minor client is handled under the same confidentiality obligations that apply to all client information. We do not enable marketing cookies for visitors we know to be under 18.

This Site may contain links to third-party websites we do not control, including court and government websites and social media platforms. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those websites. We encourage you to review their policies before providing personal information.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will post any changes on this page with an updated effective date. If we make a material change to how we use tracking technologies, we will ask for your cookie choices again.
